When did exterminators

become pest control specialists? And why don't any of them think a family of raccoons squatting in my attic is a passel of pests? After calling a couple of the better known ones, I was finally referred to the local wildlife rescue league. I duly called them and left a message on their machine. I'm waiting for them to call me back.

Are Raccoons considered endangered species - this could be the reason they don't want to answer?

If they are it should be a reason they would answer quicker.

Raccoons endangered? In LJ? No way. The wildlife rescue people are all voluteer so it's a matter of who is in the office who can answer the phone or reply to a message.

Did have a nice chat with them, which I'll post about later.
