DocileDocile by K.M. Szpara
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Quit at 25% read. I'm not sufficiently interested in male on male sex or self indulgent brutality every couple of pages to continue reading this. I don't know if the story that is hinted at actually comes to fruition later in the book, but there is nothing going on at this point in the story to keep me going.

The Bard's Blade (The Sorcerer's Song, #1)The Bard's Blade by Brian D. Anderson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the publisher for review.

The book is obviously intended for a younger audience which is not a bad thing in and of itself. Some of my favorite reads the last few years were intended for a juvenile audience. This one, however, did nothing much in the 162 pages I managed to finish before deciding life was too short to keep reading something that just didn't appeal to me.
