Heaven help me!
Izzy is in heat. She has developed a passionate attachment to my laptop which is what I'm using to type this while I watch Stargate: Atlantis. She's also become almost as passionately attached to me.
As soon as she gets over this bout, I'll see about taking her in. It's just so easy to forget how old Izzy is because she's such a small cat. This is her first time in heat so she's got to be six months old - which makes sense when I stop to think how long I've had her.

Fix Her - contrary to what your Vet thinks - you can fix them at 6 months - I know - all of mine are fixed.
I agree. Poor thing.
Though picking them up from the vet with stitches in their belly is not easy either - always made me hurt too.
