The Monitor - McAllen, Texas

My dad hails from the Rio Grande Valley here in Texas, and The Monitor is the newspaper I used to read when I was a home dweller back in the dark ages. My dad still subscribes to it and reads almost the entire paper daily. I lost the habit of reading newspapers when I moved here. The local rag is just that, a rag. I used to read the Houston Post before it went out of business. I've just never acquired a taste for the Houston Chronicle.
